The crack epidemic infiltrated the inner cities in the early 80s and for most the logic was simple; either you smoked crack or you sold crack. As crackheads walk the streets like zombies, Lil Nut is determined to get rich or die trying.

When he forms his own crew and plots to take over a rival drug-dealers territory, the empire he struggled so hard to build is threatened. Enemies become friends and friends become enemies all in a quest to attain ghetto riches. Lil Nut realizes that no one is to be trusted; not even his own momma!

Summary: "The game is sold,not told!!"

This book kept me on my toes from beginning to end.This was my first time reading a novel by this author and I was really impressed.Although sad,I liked the way the story ended and the fact that the author did not leave us with a cliffhanger.Im looking forward to reading more books by Erica Hilton!!

Summary: "Rules to Live By"

"10 Crack Commandments" is the story of a young man coming up in New York City. At a young age he gets into the drug game, resulting in a lot happening to him.

In my opinion, it was a good concept, but it could've been told a lot better. At times it was unrealistic. What threw me off was the number of murders that took place and Nut never being questioned, especially the ones done in view of folks. There was also a part where he cocked his guns back, but one of them was a revolver. You can't cock a revolver; you can only pull the hammer back on it.

The ending was real. When you're of no benefit, you get kicked to the curb. I recommend "10 Crack Commandments" to anyone who loves the 80's and 90's or is looking for a trip down memory lane.

Summary: "Jealous, Envy, Hate"

Thats what this book was about jealousy, envy, hate.

Overall great book.

Lil Nut started at 13 selling drugs for Blue Bug. His friends was totally hating on him and jealous of him from the start.

That's when he get robbed for his things and his mom getting knocked around. After that Lil Nut started on point but, yet again he gets robbed again but, this time he fights and ends up shoot.

A girl name Samatha was there for him while he was heeling up she also was getting th shoop of things and found out it was all Lamiek and Lite that did the set up.

After Lil Nut comes from hiding he does everything to stay alive.

As he gets older he starts to run the street and then have his right hand man Butter that is there helping taking care of business.

But, also Butter was working doing his own thing on the side.

Lil Nut and his mom has a close relationship but, then he wanted to move out the projects but, she don't but, he goes ahead and leave with his girl Melissa.

What I didn't get he was school his new right hand man Head on the commandents but, Lil Nut also made plenty of mistakes when it came to the commandents.

Overall it was a good read. First time reading anything by this author.
I didn't want to spoil the book for those that never read it but, I gave a quick overall of what I've read with out giving out to much.

I recommend this book to readers of street literature.

The crack epidemic took the 80's by storm. Brooklyn New York was one of the hardest hit areas. Crackheads roam around like zombies, dealers are on every corner and people will kill for the ability to smoke crack or sell it.

Lil Nut gets into the drug game at around 14 and is determined to follow the "10 crack commandments" so he can stay on top. Lil Nut has no problem busting his gun when necessary and soon earns a rep as a no nonsense killer. Unfortunately for Nut, friends and family are always waiting to take his spot at the top and will stab him in the back to be the HNIC. In this novel you journey with Nut through the late 1980's and early 90's as he rises to the top by living and breathing the 10 crack commandments. But will Lil Nut stay on top? They say the drug game has no retirement plan...

This is my second book by Erica Hilton and once again I must give her 5 stars!! I loved it!!
